Using the Control key to add an unconnected idea to a diagram

You can use the Control key to add an unconnected symbol in any location.

To use the Control key to add an unconnected symbol to a diagram:

1.Make sure no symbol is selected.

2.Hold down the Control key, then click where you want to place the symbol.

3.Enter your idea in the symbol.

You can also use point and type to add an unconnected symbol. See Using point and type to add an unconnected idea to a diagram.
