Cutting and pasting objects on a mind map

When you cut and paste an object, you remove it from its current location and place it in a new location. You can cut and paste topics, branches, and objects created using the Draw tools.

When you cut and paste a branch, you can attach it to another topic, including the central idea. Or, you can paste it onto the background of the mind map where it becomes a detached branch.

To cut and paste an object on a mind map:

1.Select the object.

2.On the Edit menu, choose Cut.

3.Click the background of the mind map where you want the object to appear.

To attach a branch to a topic, select the topic.

4.On the Edit menu, choose Paste.

Note: You cannot delete or cut the Central Idea symbol on a mind map.
