Saving a document as a PDF

To export a diagram, mind map, or outline as a PDF:

1.From the File menu, choose Export to PDF File.

2.In the Save dialog, navigate to the folder where you want to save the PDF, type a name for the file, and click Save.

What is exported

In an outline:

Notes are always visible in the exported PDF.

Hidden subtopics are always visible in the exported PDF.

Manual page breaks are obeyed.

Symbols are exported if Show Symbols is selected. See Showing or hiding symbols in an outline.

Link text is exported if Show Link Text is selected. See Showing or hiding link text in an outline.

Prefix visibility, style, font, and colour settings are maintained. See Working with prefixes in an outline.

Topic colour and style settings are maintained.

In a diagram:

Hidden notes are not exported to the PDF. See Showing or hiding notes in a diagram.

Quick Controls are not visible in the exported PDF.

Only the part of the diagram that is visible is exported. See Hiding parts of a diagram or Showing or hiding subtopics in a diagram.

In a mind map:

Hidden notes are not exported to the PDF. See Showing or hiding notes on a mind map.
